My name is John Wilkie and I Lecture in Stage Management on a BA course at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. This my blog which will hopefully give me a vehicle in which to express and reflect on the forthcoming PG-Cert in Learning & Teaching that I am about to embark on. Even if I wasn’t undertaking further training myself, I still would be reflecting in this way as I find it invaluable. It is also extremely important to practice what you preach and get a feel for ‘how it is to be a student’. If that was the sole reason for doing this, then it’s more than enough.

I have started a mobile learning strategy at the Academy, which consists of a 12 month feasibilty study into using the iPhone/iPod Touch to enhance both content delivery and profession practice.
